Support for the Unemployed and Future Workforce
The Adams County Support for the Unemployed and Future Workforce Response and Recovery Team is focused on supporting residents currently experiencing unemployment due to the COVID-19 Crisis to connect with existing and available jobs, as well as considering what future jobs will look like and how to support Adams County residents to fill them during recovery. This includes identifying and lifting policy and system shifts that may be needed, and providing a space for clear, concise information and aid in real-time.
Thank you to our Champion
COVID-19 has provided a critical opportunity to understand what the new normal for the future of work in Adams County will look like. Commissioner Emma Pinter is championing the Response and Recovery Team responsible for Support for the Unemployed and Future Work, which is in the process of using data to determine what industries and sectors will look like post-COVID and beyond, and what skills will be needed to meet industry needs. This information will support the taskforce, employers, and community partners to further develop training programs and deploy other strategies most critical to prepare the workforce and a strong community. Thank you for your leadership, Commissioner Pinter!
